Mercedes, born December 1999, is in the second grade in the 2008/09 school year. Her favorite thing to do is play with her computer, her best friend and her dolls. She is very helpful around the house and enjoys helping with tasks around the house where she can feel useful. She enjoys the role of “big sister” but also enjoys snuggling in the lap of her foster mother. Since receiving appropriate treatment she has improved greatly in school and is performing at grade level.
Montell, born September 2000, will also be in the second grade in the 2008/09 school year. He has some learning challenges but works hard to keep up with his classmates. He receives assistance with speech at school. Montell loves individual attention and thrives in an environment where he has a lot of one-on-one time. Currently, he does not live with his siblings, but he remains very close with them via phone calls and outings. He loves being around them. Montell is a hard worker and helps his foster father around the yard. He loves dump trucks and his 4-wheeler. Montell says that when he grows up he would like to drive a dump truck.
Shimeck, born March 2002, is a very loving, energetic young boy. Shimeck enjoys riding his bike, playing outside on the trampoline and is also a very affectionate child who enjoys extended doses of “lap time,” with his foster mother.
Savanna, born June 2003, is a beautiful child with eyes and a smile that are full of joy and life. Savanna is very bright and can amaze you with her ability to express herself in an adult-like fashion! Savanna enjoys playing with her dolls, playing house, and her "cell phone." She also likes to help her foster mother around the house. Savanna is very compassionate toward others.
These siblings are a joy to be around. They love to be together and appreciate the attention, love and support given by those who care for them.
