Andrew born December 1995, is a very likeable young man with a great personality. He has a great sense of humor. He is described as “intelligent with potential to make above average grades”. His favorite subject in school is math. He also has a knack for knowing when someone really likes and cares for him. Andrew has considered joining the military when he grows up. He enjoys video games, skateboarding, movies and music.
Andrew has done a lot of soul searching around what he thinks would be a good "fit" for him and feels at this juncture in his life finding a connection/mentor would be the first step toward his permanency. He wants a connection to someone that understands him and is willing to meet him where he is in his life currently. He knows that the future brings many uncertainties and wants to have someone to lean on but at this time is unsure if adoption or close connections are the way to meet his needs. He wants a connection that will be clear about the expectations up front and clear about the boundaries.
Andrew needs a connection that can help him strengthen his ability to express his feelings, especially grief and loss because of the separation from his birth family. Andrew needs caring individuals in his life that will help him realize his own good characteristics and help him develop his gifts and talents so that he can learn to be proud of himself and build a strong self esteem.
Andrew needs someone who will show him attention and provide him with guidance to mature into independence one day. Soemone who can understand a bad day and help him to see the good and what could be a positive ending.
