Rodricka (preferred name "Rod"), born in May 1994 will transition to high school for the 2009-2010 school year as a freshman in the 9th grade. He is a well-mannered child who is well-behaved at school. At school he is allowed more time for school work, including class work and taking tests if needed. He needs a little extra help in math and reading. His greatest strength in school are his listening skills.
Rod responds well to one-on-one interaction with adults and loves attention from adults. He is a laid-back young man. He is very open to adoption and wants to have a loving adoptive family. He has no preference in the size of his family; he just wants a family that will love, nurture and care about him forever. He also thinks he'd like to have a pet, even though he doesn't have one right now.
Rod dreams of becoming a professional football player. When he plays ball with his friends he plays several positions, including quarter back, wide receiver and running back. He wants to get his driver's permit and already talks about getting a job. He thinks he'd like to be an electrician when he grows up. Playing video games is his favorite leisure activity. He has a real sweet tooth.
Rod would really benefit from being in a home with structure and things to do. He'd like to be with a family that doesn't argue too much, enjoys going to church and would like to be in a two-parent household.
